Alas, there is no good way to say this. Her Highness, Princess Penelope Pricklepants has passed away suddenly and unexpectedly. Beloved by friends, family, pets, and fans, she will be sorely missed. She was a light that burned twice as bright, but half as long, bringing delight and wonder. All the best to her in her journey across the Rainbow Bridge.

I’m so sorry for your loss… our loss.
From somewhere across the ocean, we will miss you

Thanks, this really hit quickly and out of the blue. She seemed well really recently, then was having some trouble walking so we took her to the vet and she was gone before a week was up. 😦 Give your loved ones a hug.

Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning’s hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft star that shines at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there; I did not die

Thanks Jackie, we’re deeply sad at the loss. PP was a better hedgehog than we could have ever expected, miss her so, but we’re so lucky we got the time we did.

I am so, so, incredibly sorry for your loss. My own hedgie, Maxiquillian, passed away last year from Wobbly Hedgehog Syndrome when he was only a year and a half old. He loved to wear his wide array of hats, particularly his fez and cowboy hat, and Her Highness always reminded me of him and put a smile on my face. She will be missed by everyone whose life she touched.
